Vince, thank you for the comment. I don’t know how to feel about this. On the one hand, I guess it’s “classy” that Furyk isn’t throwing Fluff under the bus. But on the other hand, if someone was solely responsible for losing me $131,250…I would probably forget about showing any class!

Thank you for the comment, Danielle. I guess the penalty isn’t too harsh. After I wrote this post, I actually learned that the penalty is 2 strokes per hole with a maximum penalty of 4 strokes. When I thought it was too harsh, I was thinking you could potentially be penalized 36 strokes if you kept the extra club for 18 holes! Lol

Seriously, if for no other reason than the other caddies on tour know whose ‘fault’ it was, Furyk should tell it like it is. In the year 2009, with the money and perks major caddies receive, that is possibly the worst no-no other than no-show…

That is “Caddying 101″. Count the clubs. At least you’re not DQ’d, like when you sign an incorrect score card. Furyk is classy for taking part of the blame. Mike should be kicking himself. I’d be kicking myself. Is the penalty to harsh? Nope.
